Loving His New Red Wagon!

Grammy and Pap Pap bought Everett a Radio Flyer Red Wagon for his 1st birthday! He loves it and thinks he is such a big deal being pulled around the neighborhood. Here are some photos of his first ride around the block.

Cousin Time!

Twin cousin Amelia, her mommy Monica and Uncle Guy and Aunt Maria came up to DC to visit and we got to spend some time with them all and of course cute cousin, Lanna and Chris and Yoko. It is always fun to see Amelia since she and Everett were born on the exact same day! Here are some pictures of our fun visit!

First Haircut!

We recently took Everett to get his first haircut as his hair was getting unruly! I was a little concerned that he would not sit still while the barber tried to cut his hair, but he actually did. He looked like such a big boy in the racecar chair, it was very cute. Here are some pictures!

1 Year Old!

Today Everett had his 1 year appointment with Dr. Barakat and he is progressing nicely! His measurements were 28 lbs, 31 1/2 inches long, and 19 1/4 head size-- all put him in the 95%. We are ready to sign him up for the football team. On January 31, we celebrated Everett's big day with a birthday party with some of his little friends. The theme was sock monkey and Everett had a ball. We had his music together teacher, Katherine, come and do a class for the kids. Pierson, Gabriel, Jack, Owen, Brice, Brayden, Patrick and Azra and their parents all came for the festivities along with Grammy, Pap Pap, Grandma Berry and Aunt Abby and Uncle Steve. It was lots of fun! On other exciting news, Everett took his first steps on January 21, but within the last week actually really started walking. He falls down quite a bit, but it getting the hang of it. He loves his new found independence and is keeping us busy. In other exciting baby news, we learned that Everett will welcome a baby brother in early June-- Rollin Vincent--named after his other two great grandfathers. We are anxiously awaiting Rollin's arrival and are so excited he will join our family. Here are some recent pictures of our toddler.... not a baby anymore :(

Christmas Photos

Everett's 1st Christmas!

Well we survived our first holiday season with Everett! We spent five days in Olegbay in Wheeling, WV in a cabin with Grammy and Pap Pap, Aunt Emily, Uncle Matt, Aunt Jenni, Uncle Will and cousins Lucette and Violet- it was full cabin :) Everett did such an amazing job on the ride to and from WV- he did not fuss once in the five hour drive. He just slept and looked out the window and got excited when we stopped to stretch our legs. We started off the week with a birthday celebration for my dad and grandma. It was such fun to have a big party at the cabin and all our local extended family from both sides were able to attend- it was quite a gathering. On Christmas Eve we took Everett to the Toy and Train museum and to swim in the indoor pool, he loved it! He awoke on Christmas morning to find that Santa had brought him many, actually too many, gifts. He was such a good boy this year, each one was well-deserved! We capped off the week with a 1st birthday celebration for Miss Lucette at the Good Zoo. We got to pet lots of animals and see a holiday laser light show. Good times were had by all. By the end of the trip, mommy and daddy needed a vacation and we spent the next week recovering. I think I was asleep by 9 p.m. on NYE, which was fine by me. Well now January has arrived and the cold weather too.... counting the days until Spring! Hope everyone had a great Christmas and all our best in 2009!
