Fall Time Fun!

We had a great time at Cox Farms in Centreville, VA this past weekend. Everett loved the hayride, all the slides, the live music and of course Goat World. Rollin was a sport, except when it came to taking pictures in the pumpkin patch- he was so not happy! We also had a great visit from Ben's mom, Susan, she is so loving towards the boys and we had a nice visit with her. Hope everyone is enjoying the fall!

Emily's Bachelorette Party-- South Beach!

This past weekend I spent a glorious 40 hours in South Beach celebrating the last days of Emily's single life. Turns out, I am not 21 anymore, but I tried my best to keep up with the youngins :) We stayed at a cute South Beach boutique hotel called the Catalina, it was very trendy and cute and right across the street from the beach. We arrived on Friday night and had a great dinner at Nobu at the Shore Club and then hit up a bar at the Shore Club- the Sky Bar. I danced the night away, which was very fun, especially since having the boys I am not entirely sure when was the last time I actually went out dancing. We went to the beach on Saturday and to a nice lunch and then had the bachelorette party festivities on Saturday night in our room. We had a nice personal shower for Emily and played a lot of silly games (thanks Jenni!) and went to Clevelander for some dancing. Emily had a great time, which I was so happy about! It was so wonderful to spend time with my sisters away from all the kids and just be able to relax and visit with each other. Except for my pumping every two hours, I did not miss the boys too much-- shh...don't tell them!

Brothers Times Two!

Josh has been in town for two weeks for work and we have gotten the chance to see a lot of him and it has been great for the boys to get to know him better! Texas is too far away :( Ben has loved spending time with him and chatting up a storm, which I imagine Rollin and Everett will do one day. Brothers is such a great relationship.

End of Summer

I cannot believe the summer is almost all over! We have been very busy this past month. The month started with my 34th (gasp!) birthday. We had a nice dinner with the boys and my dad at Cheescake Factory (yum!) a few days before my birthday and then Ben and I had a romantic night out alone at Founding Farmers in DC. It is a great restaurant, all the ingredients are organic and from local farmers, it was so excellent and we had a great time just being alone for a few hours. Last weekend we had Emily's bridal shower in West Virginia-- we had a great time! My mom did such a fantastic job planning the fun event and Rollin and I drove to WV and spent the weekend with my aunt Amy and her family. Everett and Ben went down to my dad's for the weekend for a guys weekend :) Too cute. Rollin and I then met Everett down in Williamsburg and bought season passes to Busch Gardens and went twice. Everett loved it, he could not get enough of the rides and was not scared one bit. We are already planning our next trip for next week with our friends Kristen and Pierson. We also joined a local pool for the month of August and try to go every day. It can be a bit hard handling both boys at the pool by myself, but I am managing-- oh, and we also joined a playgroup that meets every Thursday afternoon. Overall, very busy, but having a great summer and Rollin continues to get bigger each day and is SUCH a good baby, we are so lucky. Everett is starting to talk up a storm, new words each day! Here are some photos from the last month.

Sleeping Beauty

I just need to take a minute to brag about my little man Rollin! The past five nights Rollin has slept 9 hours straight. He started this when he was only 8 weeks old. Crazy. Everett did not sleep through the night until 5 months which I thought was good. I swore I would never get a good sleeper again, however, looks like we lucked out in the sleeping department yet again. I hope I did not jinx him for tonight :) He continues to be my little angel baby.

Two Month and 18 Month Appointments!

Last week we had Rollin's and Everett's two month and eighteen month appointments with our pediatrician. Rollin is continuing to grow, he was 12 lbs, 15 oz (75%), 24 inches long (75%) and 15 3/4 head (30%). He hated his shots and was extremely fussy for a few hours after. Poor guy, I have never seen him cry so much! Everett weighed in at 30 lbs., 14 oz (90%), 34 inches (95%) and an off the charts head! We have been spending each day at our local pool (we got an August membership), which has been such fun. Everett loves the water and Rollin loves to watch :) Here are some photos of my adorable little men.
