One Month Birthday!

Everett had his one month appointment today and is growing quickly! He weighed in at 10 lbs, 7 oz, measured 22 3/8 in. long and head size was a strong 15 3/8 in. All three of his measurements puts him in the 75 percentile. The only area the doctor would like him to work on his sleeping at night! The goal is for him to be sleeping six hours straight by the end of his month, and we have a loooonnngg way to go to reach that goal. Everett is a wonderful baby and we feel so happy that he is our little boy.

Everett's First Week

Everett has been home from the hospital one week and we are enjoying watching him experience life at his new home! So far his likes are shadows, lights, staring at his stuffed giraffe and at mommy, daddy and grammy. He also loves his pack n play because it plays music and vibrates. He also loves the sunshine and staring out the large window in our dining room at the birds. We have been adjusting to life as new parents and trying to not worry about every little thing he does or questioning every thing we do as parents! Everett has been on several walks since we had unseasonably warm weather this past week. He had a visit from Aunt Abby and Grammy has been here since his birth helping with everything. Not sure what we would do without her! We took him to Roosevelt Island and to lunch on Saturday and Sunday--he did great! Everett has also received so many nice gifts from friends and family and loves all of them! It is so wonderful that he has so many people that care about him. Here are some photos of his first week.

Welcome Everett!

We welcomed our first child, Everett Gregory, on January 30, 2008. He weighed in at 9 lbs, 3 oz. and was 21 3/4 inches long. Everett was born at 4:30 p.m. and scored a 8.9 on his apgar test. We stayed in the hospital for four days and Everett passed all his tests with flying colors and mommy and daddy learned all about being parents! Everett had several visitors at the hospital. His Grammy and Pap Pap came to visit, as did Aunt Emily and her boyfriend Matt. Jess and Cliff Taylor and Kristen, Barton and Pierson Harris also stopped by to say hello!

We brought our little guy home on Sunday and have been adjusting to life as new parents. Everett is a wonderful baby, he sleeps a lot and is a great eater-- and is too cute for words. He is the love our life and we feel so very blessed that he is finally here. Here are some pictures of our little man and tired mommy and daddy!
