Face of the Day

What you looking at?!

The Greatest Show on Earth!

Yesterday the circus came to town and we took Everett to experience his first time under the big top! Ringling Brothers & Barnam & Bailey came to the Verizon center in D.C. and it was quite a show. We were not entirely sure how Everett would like it, or how long he would sit still and pay attention, but he LOVED it! It was such a joy to see his facial expressions and pointing and ohhing and ahhing everytime a new act came out. He was thrilled. Nothing gives us more joy than seeing Everett experience new things. He is such a happy child, we feel so blessed. Here are some photos of our trip to the circus. The elephants were by far Everett's favorite. Love that kid.

Feeding All by Himself!

Lately Everett has been wanting to feed himself his meals and protests loudly if he is not allowed. Messes ensue, but he sure is cute doing it. Here is a little video of the first time he tried to feed himself.

Spring is here?

The weather this past weekend was amazing in our nation's capitol- FINALLY! After several weeks of freezing temperature and snow we got to pull out the short sleeves and get outside! We had the best weekend with Mr. Everett. On Saturday we had lunch with some friends from church, then walked to the park where Everett literally went crazy walking around like a mad man. He had the best time. On Saturday night, our dear friends, the Taylors, came over for dinner and we cannot believe how much the boys have grown this past year. On Sunday we went to church and headed to the National Zoo. There had to be at least a billon people there, but Everett was fasinated by the apes, elephants and pandas-- it was adorable. We offically also became FONZ (friends of the national zoo), so we hope to visit the zoo more often, especially after Rollin's arrival.

Babymoon 2009

Ben and I were lucky enough to get away for three days to sunny Phoenix, Arizona to celebrate baby Rollin's upcoming arrival. We had a wonderful time laying in the sun and visiting old friends. We stayed at the chic Hotel Mondarian in Scottsdale which was very relaxing and quiet, spent a day at the Camelback Spa and ate lots of yummy brunches and dinners with old friends from Phoenix. We cannot believe we moved from Phoenix over five years ago, longer than we actually lived there! Phoenix always holds a special place in our hearts since it was where our marriage started. We still remain close with our friends out west and it is always fun to catch up with them, and now visit their kids! Times have changed :) We had a lot of time to reflect on baby Rollin's arrival as well, and we sure cannot wait to meet him!
